In 2019 the Greater Moncton Scottish Association will be hosting the 13th Annual Moncton Highland Games and Scottish Festival. The festival takes place the week before the games with a church service, flag raisings and open-air concerts. The week culminates on Saturday, June 15 at the Hal Betts Sportsplex on the corner of Assumption Blvd and Vaughn Harvey Blvd with the Moncton Highland Games.

This daylong event includes highland dance, pipes & drums and heavy events competitions as well as demonstrations, workshops, live entertainment and cultural exhibitions. For the younger children there is a kiddie’s area to take a break from all the excitement of the games.

You may purchase food from onsite vendors. They have many tasty options including Canadian or Scottish fare for your eating delight.

The entertainment tent, which is open to all ages and features live Celtic music, is conveniently located next to the beer kiosk where craft beer from the Pumphouse Brewery can be purchased.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to get away and spend an hour or a day in the Scottish Highlands.
